Miniat Holdings Welcomes New Leaders
South Holland, IL—The Miniat Family of companies announced today its new board and advisors, complementing its recent hiring of CEO Brian Fox as the first non-family leader of the fifth-generation, family-owned business portfolio.
“Our family company continues to innovate and evolve for more than 125 years. Integration with outside leadership and governance is necessary for multi-generational family business’s to thrive. I am very excited about our future,” said Dave Miniat, Chairman Emeritus and Miniat’s previous CEO.
“Today marks our shift to integrated family and non-family leadership. Our CEO and Chairman are both from outside the family, and we have a fantastic board and board adviser group,” Miniat added.
Shane Miller joins the Advisory Board
Shane Miller has more than 30 years of experience in the protein industry, spanning Tyson Foods and IBP, Inc. Most recently, Shane served as Group President for Tyson Foods’ Fresh Meats Division, leading the company’s largest business unit with over $26 billion in annual revenue and 36,000 employees. Throughout his tenure, he gained expertise across beef, pork, and case-ready operations, positioning him as a leader in optimizing business structures and driving operational excellence. Miniat Holdings Appoints Shane Miller to Advisory Board
South Holland, IL — Miniat Holdings is pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Miller to its Advisory Board. A respected leader with more than 30 years of experience in the protein industry, Shane brings valuable insights and a strong track record of success that will help guide the company’s long-term strategy and operational excellence.
Shane most recently served as Group President of Tyson Foods’ Fresh Meats Division, where he led the $26 billion business unit and oversaw a workforce of more than 36,000 employees. His career has spanned various leadership roles at Tyson Foods and IBP, Inc., offering deep experience across beef, pork, and case-ready operations.
“Shane’s strategic mindset and collaborative approach are a perfect fit for Miniat Holdings as we continue our evolution,” said Scott Mordell, Chairman of the Board. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the Advisory Board.”
Shane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from Westmar College and completed the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School in 2021. He and his wife reside in Sioux City, Iowa, where they remain actively involved in the community, supporting organizations such as Camp High Hopes.
